Mesothelioma Risk Averted at Madison Square Garden

The Environmental Protection Agency states there is no safe level of asbestos exposure and even small exposures have the potential to cause mesothelioma later in life.

MSG has been undergoing a renovation project that is expected to cost as much as $850 million. A lot of the work is planned to be completed during the next two summers. Opening in 1968, at a time when the use of asbestos-containing materials was high, MSG is one of the NBA’s oldest venues. MSG’s statement did not say how long the arena will be closed.

Additional information about mesothelioma and asbestos exposure may be found through the Mesothelioma Center.
