This operation aims to completely eliminate the disease from the body by removing the tumor and the existing areas where the disease may occur in the future. The procedure involves removing the entire affected lung, pericardium (lining of mesothelial heart), peritoneum (lining of the abdominal mesothelium), and diaphragm. Once the bodies are removed, the entire area is treated with chemotherapy directly contact the tissue surface, allowing more efficient and direct delivery agent. The membrane is then reconstructed with prosthetic material.
